A Raravis Partner observed outdated methods, technology, and mindset from the majority of an existing swim coaching community.
Additionally, there was a lack of access to competent and properly trained coaching staff in the areas of technique as well as injury prevention
There was a market need for basic through advanced swim stroke “technique”
training within the competitive swimming community.
- Created a new State of the art facility to focus on swimming instruction
strictly for the purpose of addressing proper technique in all swimming
modes (strokes).
- Leveraged up to date computer based motion technology, graphics and video
analysis technology.
- Modernized the instruction and coaching methodology to incorporate all
elements of sports science (physical, mental, and physiological).
- Established a robust training protocol for all instructors / coaches to drive
consistency and uniformly high levels of quality to all instructional sessions.
- Systems deployed driven by safety, injury prevention, and performance
improvement regardless of athlete ability level.
- Process rubric established to create, then build on, the basics for all swim
strokes through highly advanced technique.
* Swimmers enjoyed renewed passion for the sport due to improved performance, and also due to “cool” new place to practice swimming.
* Numerous personal records (PR’s) were achieved throughout the community:
> High
School State Champions
> Collegiate Athletic Scholarships
> Olympic Time Trials qualifiers
